Welcome to a hunting holiday on Glenorkie Hunting Farm with your German and English speaking hosts Ingo and Assi Leuschner.
The hunting farm, Glenorkie, lies 160km northeast of the Windhoek International Airport (Hosea Kutako Airport), 1600m above sea level.
On Glenorkie we have various well-constructed, raised hunting stands. Hunting drives and the stalking of game on foot can also be provided. Each hunter will have the opportunity to take home two trophies of each of the game species available.
Bring along your own favourite hunting rifle. Advisable are calibre 30-06, 8×68, 9.3×62 or any similar rifle. An import permit for your rifle can be obtained from the police at the Windhoek International Airport.
Available game species are: Kudu, Oryx, Hartebeest, Steinbock, Duiker, Warthog, Black Wildebeest and Blue Wildebeest. Further game species are available on request, where other hunting areas may be involved. Acquaint yourself with our farming methods, when accompanying us on the farm drives in an open off-road vehicle.
You will be accommodated in spacious double rooms with bath/shower and toilet, all supplied with 220volt.
Feel at home on our farm, with its quiet hospitable atmosphere and let us spoil you with specialities from our farm kitchen.
During summer, from September till the end of February temperatures of up to 38°C can be expected. The rainy season stretches approximately from the end of October to the end of April.
During winter – from June till August frost can be expected. Therefore it is advisable to bring along warm windbreakers, sturdy shoes, as well as lighter Safari wear. Other essentials are a hat, sun block and insect repellent.
Transfer from the airport to the farm and to Windhoek will be provided at an extra fee.
